Privacy Policy

Draft. This content must be legally reviewed and checked against Paddle’s requirements before release.

What we store

• From your Google account: email, name and profile picture.
• Your IP address, and the country and region inferred from it, when you sign up and when each translation session starts.
• For each translation session: start and end time, tab title, page address without query parameters, target language and minutes used.
• Payment history sent to us by Paddle: amount, status and invoice number.

What we do not store

• Tab audio. Audio goes straight from your browser to Google for translation and never passes through our servers.
• Caption content. Captions stay in your browser only.
• Payment card details. Paddle handles all of that.

Third parties

• Google (Gemini API) processes audio for translation, under Google’s terms.
• Paddle processes payments as the merchant of record.
• MaxMind GeoLite2 is used on our own server to infer the country from an IP address; the IP is not sent to anyone else.

Retention and deletion

The retention period for translation session data is still being decided. You can ask for your account and related data to be deleted by writing to the support email.
